Synopsis

"You play the role of Azai Kyousuke, the son of a legendary gangster infamous in the underworld. You spend your time listening to Bach, playing God at school and covertly working for your stepfather, a ruthless financial heavyweight. This idyllic existence is broken when two individuals appear in the city - a beautiful girl named Usami Haru with hair you could get lost in for days, and a powerful international gangster known only as "Maiu". Almost without delay, the two days begin a deadly cat-and-mouse game, bringing you and your friends into the crossfire. Plotting, political intrigue and layer upon layer of interlocking traps are the weapons in this epic battle of wits."

That classical music though! Oh god it just sounds so good in this game and it mixes so well with the scenes that happen in the game. Soooooooo let me explain what's happening here. This is going to be my thoughts of the first hour I played so far.

So I love visual novels I really do it's a media that I just love playing and I'm so glad to have been introduced into it. Ah Japan you sure do create some quirky genres and ummm things. Just google it and you'll find out what I mean but may lord Pikachu be with you. Anyways though let's get right to it.

So right away this game is heavily story driven. Now you must be asking yourself but it's a visual novel it's supposed to be story driven. And yes you're right but I've played a lot of visual novels where the story took a back seat and focused more on the characters or just plain randomness. So be prepare to heavily invest some time into the game. The first hour gets you introduced to the characters, the settings and some of plot.

 Kyosuke Azai

You play as Kyosuke Azai who is the protagonist of the game and also the adopted son of a powerful yakuza boss whom so far seems like a character that has some high intelligence which is a miracle in today's typical visual novel/ anime heroes who all seem to act as smart as a stone. At least he acts like a smart stone.

 Usami Haru

Next I saw Usami Haru who is the main heroine of the game. She seems to be a observational genius but like all geniuses her social skills are below that of a rock. Like seriously a pet rock has most likely had a better chance at being the center of a party than her. I haven't had much of an interaction with her sooooo other than that she has long black hair so you know that's umm fun. Yeah long black unkempt hair.

Miwa Tsubaki

The other character I met was Miwa Tsubaki whooooo is pretty obviously in love with Kyosuke or at least like him. It's not a mystery it's quite easy to figure it out right from start. She has this habit of writing everything down in a journal that she takes everywhere with her. Yeah nothing weird about that. Her and her family live out in the countryside and because of that she's easily impressed by Kyosuke apartment which I might say is pretty swanky. She's also the class representative of the main character class. Other than that not much has happen with her character so far.

Aizawa Eiichi

Aizawa Eiichi is the next character who is nothing more than a horny bastard. He tends to always act all cutesy and innocent, but in reality we all know what he wants. Sweet sweet cake! Eiichi loves sweet to the point where I wonder how in the world does he not have diabetes yet. Like seriously he eats nothing but sweets so far in the game. Not much has happen with him so far but I hope we get to see more of his character.

Azai Kanon

Than there's Azai Kanon who is Kyosuke step sister and a popular skater in Japan. She's super energetic and right away in the beginning she wants to sleep in her step brother bed because she just came back from Canada and doesn't want to go her dads house. Yeahhhhh I have a feeling where this is going. Especially because shes one of the characters in which you can fall for. Japan always keeping it classy. Other than that not much has happen with her character.

So far I am having a blast with the game so far. I could see a really amazing story here filled with plots and twists galore. Hopefully it continues this way and doesn't let me down. I'll post another post when I start with the route of Azai Kanon to let you all guys know how the game is going so far.

Unknown

Some say he’s half man half fish, others say he’s more of a seventy/thirty split. Either way he’s a fishy bastard.
